moreattention33, keeponrolling, others - what you are saying makes sense. I e-mailed old admin a few times asking him to not close the forum completely, we'll see what happens next. If he ignores we'll have to think what to do about google search results, nonetheless - please do not post member e-mail addresses here without their permission in the future, I edited the post with his e-mail address. I'm not sure if it was the best thing to do given the situation, maybe if more people e-mailed him he'd at least consider creating a permanent link to this forum on the old forum since it still shows up in search results, but user privacy is important and I doubt he'd want his e-mail being posted online, so that's that for now. If you have his address - do e-mail him if you think shutting down old forum was not a good idea etc.

Has anyone pursued diagnoses like Lupus Erythematous Profundus, or Acquired Generalized Lipodystrophy? I'm progressing very rapidly towards a disease in line with both of those. I have pain in my face prior to fat loss which is described as a symptom of Lupus Eryth. Profundus.
I think tests to shed light on the fat loss are the best place to look. Even a culture of subcutaneous fat in the face to test for pathogens could be worthwhile.
This is either a metabolic problem, an autoimmune problem, a nerve problem, or something like a flesh eating bacteria.
We have done endless tests for pathogens, I think it is time to do tests for other markers of the disease.
I think the following are worth doing: Cholesterol Stool lipid test Cortisol ANA Possibly Leptin. I have been constantly hungry for the past several months which could be a sign of leptin deficiency. Leptin deficiency is also associated with lipodystrophy.
I am beyond fucked up now. And it is completely evident that many many people around me have this as well. I think this discussion is going to hit the mainstream in the next year or so.

Also, this site will hit the first page of Google results once we hit 80 pages. I guarantee it. Post the link on other forums and rename the URL to Unknown Mystery Disease or something like that and it will become more visible.

I think this discussion is going to hit the mainstream in the next year or so. I will see a rheumatologist doctor today. I've seen many people in the old forum (RIP) complaining about joint pain, dry eyes and mouth and other symptoms related to rheumatoid arthritis, which is also an autoimmune disease. Although I know it is not the cause of our problem, I'm curious about how many of us developed this condition as a consequence of this unknown STD. I've been feeling joint pain very often. It's not severe, it's more like the pain you feel after a day of workout. Except that I haven't been practicing any kind of physical activity whatsoever.

This forum seems to be destined to oblivion. I would say that less than 1% of the old users registered to this new forum.
The vast majority of the old users (those who didn't check-in anytime last month) aren't aware of the existence of this new forum. And they will never know, because the old forum was wiped before they were warned.
That's too bad...
